Shai Gilgeous-Alexander posts quiet double-double in Thunder's comeback win

by Dave Kluge | Thunder Correspondent | Mon, Jan 20th 7:47pm EST

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 13 points and snagged 10 boards in Monday's comeback win over the Rockets. He shot 5-of-10 from the field and added an assist, three steals, and a block over a team-high 39 minutes.

Fantasy Impact:

The 13 points were Gilgeous-Alexander's lowest so far in January but it's the first time he has had back-to-back doubles in his career. He spent a bit more time in the paint that he was comfortable with after Steven Adams was knocked out of the game early. If Steven Adams misses and Nerlens Noel remain sidelined, coach Billy Donovan will have to get creative with his lineups. While no one would expect Gilgeous-Alexander to play center, the second-year guard may be asked to crash the boards a bit while they move to a smaller lineup. He remains a top option at the shooting guard position and should bounce back with a better-scoring effort Wednesday against the Magic.
