Luke Kornet gets start again and ties up season-high in points

Luke Kornet scored 15 points on Wednesday against the Timberwolves. He made 5-of-10, going 1-of-5 from deep and sinking all five free throws. He grabbed three rebounds, had two assists, and stole and blocked one ball each. Even though he got the start, he only played 18 minutes.

Fantasy Impact:

Luke Kornet was getting eaten alive defensively by Karl Anthony-Towns and didn't get to extend his season-high point total because of it. He's served as a decent backup for the injured Wendell Carter Jr. as he's averaging seven points and 3.6 rebounds over his last seven games. While it's serviceable as a backup center in the NBA, that type of production isn't going to help much in fantasy. Keep Kornet on the waiver wire and hope Carter Jr. can come back soon.
