Zion Williamson's huge fourth quarter highlights NBA debut

by Zachary Hanshew | Pelicans Correspondent | Thu, Jan 23rd 5:51am EST

Zion Williamson went for 22 points (8-11 FG, 4-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds and three assists over 18 minutes in the Pelicans’ 121-117 loss to the Spurs on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact:

He added five turnovers to the healthy debut stat line. As expected, Williamson drew the start in his first game and, despite logging less than 22 minutes, he made quite an impact. He scored 17 straight points in the final frame and drilled four triples in the game, making a statement with his first taste of NBA action. Williamson is likely to be eased back into action, so his minutes could remain in the 15-20 range for the short-term. Eventually, he should pick up a starter's workload, which could spell a decline in production from the likes of Derrick Favors and Brandon Ingram.
