Karl-Anthony Towns explodes for season-high 40 points in Wednesday's loss

Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 40 points (16-24 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds and two assists over 31 minutes in the Timberwolves’ 117-110 loss to the Bulls on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact:
Towns exploded for a season-high point total Wednesday, though the high-octane offense wasn't enough to hold off the Bulls. KAT has averaged 26.8 points, 6.3 boards, 3.5 assists and 2.5 triples in four games since returning from his extended absence, and while his scoring hasn't missed a beat, his counting stats are not close to what they were prior to his knee injury. He should work his way back to double-digit rebounds sooner than later, but -- in the meantime -- fantasy owners should not expect the gaudy stat lines they became accustomed to in the early part of the season.
