Brandon Clarke chips in nine off the bench in Wednesday's blowout

by Dave Kluge | Grizzlies Correspondent | Thu, Jan 23rd 10:36am EST

Brandon Clarke scored nine points on 4-of-6, going 1-of-2 from deep and failing to record a free throw attempt. He grabbed two rebounds and dished two assist in 23 minutes of relief.

Fantasy Impact:

Playing behind Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jonas Valanciunas is definitely limiting Clarke's upside, but the rookie forward from Gonzaga has looked good in his limited play this season. His per 36 numbers are great. Clarke's 20.2 points is fourth for the Grizzlies and his 9.4 rebounds are second. You can't imagine the Grizzlies making any moves to ship off Jackson Jr. or Valanciunas but the team will have to find a way to get Clarke more involved. He's averaging 12 points and 5.6 rebounds per game this season and can be added in most league formats, but an increase in playing time is the only way he'd become exceptionally valuable.
