Robert Covington dealt to the Rockets

Minnesota has traded Robert Covington to the Houston Rockets in a four-team package that has Malik Beasley, Juancho Hernangomez, Evan Turner, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Atlanta's first-round pick via the Nets all heading to the Timberwolves. Covington will also be joined by Jordan Bell as part of the agreement. (Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Covington returns to the team that originally picked him up as an undrafted rookie free-agent coming out of Tennessee State. It remains to be seen how the Rockets will utilize him, as they gave up starting center Clint Capela to obtain the 29-year-old wing. If Houston decides to slot him into the starting lineup as part of an extreme, small-ball approach, Covington may be tasked with defending against opponent's top scorer, perhaps limiting his fantasy value. On the other hand, new teammates Russell Westbrook and James Harden should create plenty of catch-and-shoot opportunities for the forward averaging 12.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Covington's first games in his new threads will go a long way in the assessment of his fantasy value.
