Brown was originally listed as probable for Thursday’s game against the Clippers, was ruled out after pre-game warmups. With the All-Star break coming up this weekend, the Celtics decided to give their starting shooting guard the day off. Marcus Smart should see an expanded role with Brown sidelined. His next chance to return will be after the All-Star break on February 21st against the Timberwolves.
