Shai Gilgeous-Alexander drops 17 in Thursday's win

by Dave Kluge | Thunder Correspondent | Fri, Feb 14th 9:42am EST

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander posted 17 points (6-13 FG, 2-6 3PT, 3-4 FT), seven assists, three rebounds, and an assist over 37 minutes in Thursday's 123-118 win over the Pelicans.

Fantasy Impact:

Gilgeous-Alexander is one of four Thunder players averaging over 20 points per game to start off February as he, Chris Paul, Danillo Gallinari, and Dennis Schroder have taken the turns leading the team in scoring over five contests this month. On the season, however, Gilgeous-Alexander is leading the team in points with 19.5, second in rebounds with 6.1, third in assists with 3.2, second in steals with 1.2, and third in blocks with 0.7. On a roster loaded with talent the second-year shooting guard out of Kentucky is shining as the team's star. Given his draft position in fantasy, he's been bringing back great returns for his owners and deserves a starting spot every night he takes the court. The Canadian-born Gilgeous-Alexander will suit up this weekend to represent Team World in the Rising Stars game.
