Russell Westbrook criticizes himself because of his turnovers

by Vio Nachor III | Clippers Correspondent | Sat, Mar 14th 6:13am EDT

Despite recording a triple-double against the Timberwolves on Friday, Russell Westbrook recognized the need to take care of the ball better, saying, "I do know one thing, I need to stop turning the ball over...". He also added that it is "frustrating trying to make passes and turning it over..." (NBA.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Westbrook is not necessarily being too hard on himself here. Albeit averaging close to a triple-double this season (better than 27 points, 7 rebounds, and eight assists in 49 games), his 4.2 turnovers per game is hard not to notice. This past week alone, he has averaged nine (read that again) turnovers. Westbrook did acknowledge that they have been winning anyways, but he still has to "go back to the drawing board and take care of it."
