Juancho Hernangomez struggles in loss to Nuggets

by Joel E. Ruffin Jr. | Mon, Feb 24th 10:12am EST

Juancho Hernangomez totaled seven points (2-9 FG, 1-4 3PT, 2-2 FT), and four rebounds in 27 minutes in the Timberwolves’ 128-116 loss to the Nuggets on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

After putting up double-digit scoring performances in four straight games, Hernangomez saw his scoring tear come to an end as he failed to put it all together against the Nuggets this past Sunday. Getting into foul trouble early, he was unable to get anything going resulting in his worst performance since joining the Timberwolves. Since joining the team, he has been provided with ample opportunity to showcase his ability. For the most part, he has been able to meet and surpass expectations; however, with such a small sample size, it remains to be seen if his current level of production can be sustained. For now, Hernangomez is best reserved as a tuck-and-save play for the back-half of the season until he shows that he can consistently provide high-floor play night-in and night-out.
