Tim Hardaway Jr. leads team in scoring for second consecutive game

by Dave Kluge | Mavericks Correspondent | Mon, Feb 24th 11:13pm EST

Tim Hardaway Jr. scored a team-high 23 points (8-14 FG, 3-6 3PT, 4-5 FT), grabbed four rebounds, dished one assist, and stole one ball over 28 minutes in Monday's 139-123 win over the Timberwolves.

Fantasy Impact:

Hardaway Jr. unexpectedly stepped up on Saturday night with Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis both out of the lineup, but really surprised when both superstars were back on the court on Monday and he still led the team in points and minutes. The seventh year shooting guard seemed to regress after being traded from the Knicks last year but has been on a little hot streak recently, setting his season-high with 33 points just five nights ago, matching it on Saturday, and then leading the Mavericks on Monday. Over this five-game stretch Hardaway Jr. is averaging 24.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.0 assists. He's worth a speculative add in all leagues to see if this is a sign of things to come.
