Michael Porter, Jr. gets 22 minutes of playing time, plays well

by Lucas Spence | Nuggets Correspondent | Tue, Feb 25th 11:27pm EST

Michael Porter, Jr. (ankle) bounced back nicely on Tuesday night in a 115-98 victory over the Pistons, scoring 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-3 3pt) to go along with eight rebounds, one assist, and two turnovers in 22 minutes of action.

Fantasy Impact:

The big takeaway here is the playing time, as the rookie saw more minutes tonight (22) than he had in the previous two games combined (8 and 10 minutes respectively) as he works his way back from an ankle injury. The once highly-touted prospect has shown that he can be a very productive fantasy player when given the opportunity. If you can afford to exercise patience with the rookie and the Nuggets fluid rotations, he’s worth rostering as long as he is consistently getting 20+ minutes of playing time on a nightly basis.
