Cody Martin has miserable shooting night in loss to Pacers

by Joel E. Ruffin Jr. | Hornets Correspondent | Wed, Feb 26th 11:18am EST

Cody Martin totaled nine points (3-12 FG, 0-4 3PT, 3-5 FT), six rebounds, three assists, and two steals in 30 minutes in the Hornets’ 119-80 loss to the Pacers on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Martin saw 30 minutes of playing time this past Tuesday against the Pacers, however, was unable to capitalize on the opportunity. He was miserable from the floor and from beyond the arc, putting up a poor stat-line that was somewhat salvaged by his relatively solid play in the other statistical categories. Although Martin has little fantasy relevance at this time it is worth pointing out that he is having the best statistical month of play this season; he is averaging 7.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.0 steals per game while averaging a season-high 27.3 minutes per game. The rookie could find himself in a position where he begins to play all the minutes he can handle, especially with the increasingly poor play of the Hornets, if this is the case and if you are looking for an untapped source of value you may want to look his way, this, however, is reserved for deep league fantasy play.
