James Johnson plays big despite fouling out in win against the Heat

James Johnson totaled 11 points (5-11 FG, 0-3 3PT, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and one steal in 23 minutes in the Timberwolves’ 129-126 win over the Heat on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Johnson extended his impressive play against the Heat this past Wednesday, by stuffing the stat-sheet and putting up a double-digit shooting night. Since joining the Timberwolves, he has been a value-generating machine, contributing in every statistical category in four of the last seven games, all while scoring in double-digits within that time frame as well. Although his play is tightly correlated to efficiency rather than raw volume, he should continue to garner a solid floor mitigating that risk. The combination of his dynamic play and ample playing time at this point makes him a must-start in deep-league play.
