According to Brian Windhorst on ESPN, there is now a “significant amount of pessimism” regarding the continuation of the 2019-2020 NBA season. (SportsCenter on Twitter)
This news comes on the heels of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) cancelling the remainder of their season. The NBA and the NBPA have had continuing discussions surrounding all possibilities for resuming play, and before this news, there had even been some level of what you might call “optimism.” That tone has taken a complete 180, and it’s now looking like the NBA may have no choice but to follow the lead of the CBA and take a real hard look at cancelling the remainder of the 2019-2020 season.
