Jalen Brunson spoke with Callie Caplan of the Dallas Morning News and revealed that while his rehab from right shoulder surgery was progressing, he is unlikely to return this season (should play resume). Brunson stated, "As of right now, I think it’s ruled out. I think we’re just planning on next year’s training camp. That’s if everything is going along schedule. But as of right now, I’m just focusing on rehab and getting back to full strength." (Callie Caplan on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The second-year guard has been out indefinitely after undergoing surgery on March 13th to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder. Since team facilities are closed for the foreseeable future, Brunson constructed a home gym to continue his rehab twice a day in the hopes of being ready for training camp next season. Brunson finishes the season averaging 8.2 points, 3.3 assists and 2.4 rebounds across 17.9 minutes per game.
