Andre Drummond expected to opt-in to final year of contract

Drummond and his agent negotiated one heck of a deal with Detroit - so much that he controls his own destiny, and likely that of the Cleveland Cavaliers for next season by exercising a whopping $28.7M player option. In reality, it’s a huge price tag for a player whose greatest asset is his ability to amass a high volume of rebounds. From a fantasy perspective, Drummond continues to be an effective player in nine-category formats for his ability to rack up counting stats in rebounding, steals, and blocks. Drummond warrants an early round selection next season as he’ll soak up valuable minutes at the center position.
