Mo Bamba 'added a ton of muscle' during NBA hiatus

Magic C Mo Bamba held a virtual event with Orlando Magic season ticket holders where he explained his recent muscle gain. "This is going to sound weird, but I put on probably about 28 pounds since quarantine (started) and I’ve only added about 2.5 percent body fat. So, a lot of it is muscle and I can’t wait to get back out there and work.’’ Bamba said. (NBA.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Bamba shared that he's been using quarantine to "really recover as far as getting rest and changing up my diet." Still only 22 years old, Bamba has already shown a knack for defending the paint and the added weight should help his post positioning and physicality when hitting the glass. Bamba and his teammates have been FaceTiming to maintain their chemistry and are excited to be able to workout together at the Amway Center prior to the NBA season resuming. Entrenched behind former All-Star center Nikola Vucevic, the second-year center is averaging a mere 5.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 0.4 steals in 14.5 minutes per contest.
