The Wizards (24-40) are one of the 22 teams listed to resume play, but chasing the eighth spot isn't enough for Wall to return to action. “That was more appealing for the future than just trying to get the eighth (seed),” Wizards' GM Tommy Sheppard said in July. “I don’t ever wanna say, ‘Let’s go get the eighth spot.’ That’s not the big picture at all.” Wall hasn't played an NBA game in over 18 months and was practicing with the Wizards before the season was suspended on March 11th. He referred to himself as "110 percent." “I’m just still taking my time,” he said. “I have an opportunity to still work out during this pandemic time, so I’m fine with that. Get myself in the best shape possible," said Wall. The 29-year-old will not return this season and look to rejoin the Wizards for the 2020-2021 campaign.
