Jonathan Isaac (knee) not expected back this season

“We don’t expect him [Jonathan Isaac] to be back [when the NBA season resumes],” said Orlando Magic President Jeff Weltman. (96.9 The Game on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Despite optimism from Isaac regarding his rehab from a hyperextended knee he suffered back in January, it doesn’t seem like Weltman shares that same level of confidence in his return this season. The NBA will resume on July 31 in the Orlando Magic’s backyard, Walt Disney World, but Isaac more than likely won’t be suiting up. "I'm not definitively saying anything. We'll obviously always let his response to rehab dictate the timetable. That's no different then it ever was but I'm saying we don't expect him to be back,” said Weltman. With the Magic currently operating out of the eighth seed in the East, they should face stiff competition in the first round of the playoffs should they hold of the Washington Wizards for that final playoff spot. Look for a full recovery from Isaac come the 2020-21 regular season, which is set to begin in December.
