by Adam Koffler | Timberwolves Correspondent | Thu, Jun 11th 6:25pm EDT

After the tragic death of his mother due to COVID-19, The Minnesota Timberwolves have been supporting Karl-Anthony Towns emotionally and “giving him space” as it relates to his physical recovery from a broken wrist. (Dane Moore on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Towns’ mother tested positive for coronavirus and tragically passed away as a result of the infection, so the team has been doing everything they can to support KAT mentally and emotionally. This is absolutely the right thing to do given the circumstances. Towns was also recovering from a broken wrist when the NBA got suspended. In regards to his physical health, President of Basketball Operations Gersson Rosas said, “when the time is right, we’ll share more details.” Minnesota will not be making the trip down to Walt Disney World to finish out the 2019-20 NBA season, so Towns will get ample time to heal the broken wrist. Stay strong KAT.
