PJ Washington focusing on ball handling and playmaking this offseason

According to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer, Hornets F PJ Washington said his "biggest area of off-season focus will be on ball handling and playmaking." (Rick Bonnell on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Washington had a very productive rookie season but it was evident that he was often too reliant on others to generate offense for him, or put him in positions to score. For perspective, Washington didn't dribble once for 58% of his field goals made. Washington found success feasting around the rim, where he shot 66%, but was assisted on 85% of those shots. He didn't fare well shooting mid-range jumpers but he did shoot a respectable 37% from three - having been assisted 96% of the time. Surely room for improvement and assuming Washington makes strides with his ball handling and playmaking this offseason, he should be a viable mid-round target for fantasy owners next season. Washington closed out his rookie year averaging 12.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.9 steals, 0.8 blocks, and 1.5 triples across 57 games.
