According to Chicago Bulls beat writer K.C. Johnson, Otto Porter is unlikely to remain with Chicago after his contract expires. (NBC Sports)
Porter has been marred by injuries since he was traded to the Chicago Bulls, appearing in only 29 games over the past two seasons. Porter's player option for next season is a whopping $28.5M so it would be in his best financial interest to opt-in, leaving doubt that Chicago will want to bring him back on a new deal given how little he's provided thus far. On the season, Porter averaged 11.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.4 blocks in 23.6 minutes per game. Porter carries too much injury risk going into next season to be trusted in 10-12 team formats.
