Victor Oladipo to evaluate repaired quad prior to final decision to play

Pacers guard Victor Oladipo (quad) told ESPN that he plans to ramp up activity ahead of the June 24 date to make a final decision on whether he’ll be playing for the remainder of the 2019-20 season. (Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Oladipo explained his plan by saying, “I know there’s risk going into it with the unique situation that I’m in - being off so long and trying to ramp it up that fast. I’ve just got to be smart, that’s all." Oladipo made his return to the court initially on January 29 from the quad injury, but admitted he was only playing at about 80 percent. He’ll test out his quad this weekend and early next week before making a final decision on whether or not he’ll join his teammates in Walt Disney World when the 2019-20 season resumes. Oladipo has one more year on his contract, and is set to become a highly-coveted free agent in the summer of 2021.
