Washington Wizards F Davis Bertans tells ESPN that he will not join his teammates in Orlando when the 2019-20 NBA season resumes at the end of July. (Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Bertans was having an incredible season before it was postponed due to COVID-19. He was averaging a career high 16 points per game, while shooting 42 percent from deep. Bertans is set to become a free agent after this season comes to a close and the Wizards view him as a top-priority to re-sign this offseason. Bertans will continue to train and workout with the team, participating in all of the pre-Orlando training, and Washington fully supports his decision to not play the remainder of the season at Disney World. Bertans is forfeiting approximately $600K by not playing in Orlando, but he could be well on his way to commanding a very hefty contract from the Wizards or another team this offseason.
