Justin Holiday plans to join his team for the 2019-20 NBA season restart, in which he intends to use his platform and influence as an NBA player to speak out against social injustice while advocating for change. (Indiana Pacers on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact:

Holiday stated his intentions in an essay on The Players’ Tribune entitled “Back with a Purpose.” In it, he wrote that, “more than ever, there is a dire need now to elevate [his] Black brothers and sisters, to use [his] platform to empower and elevate our people, “ and that he has overcame his fear of losing his job for speaking out. His commentary on the social injustices plaguing the country and his journey to becoming an agent of change appears to set the tone, context, and purpose for his participation this upcoming July. In 65 games with the Pacers, he has averaged 8.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.2 steals, and 24.9 minutes of playing time per game. Given his role in the rotation and his consistent, albeit conservative game, Holiday offers a somewhat solid floor making him an intriguing deep-league play.
