In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Clippers coach Doc Rivers said that Lou Williams is expected to play when the NBA restarts later this month. (LA Times)

Fantasy Impact:

When questioned about Williams status for going to Orlando, Rivers stated, “Obviously up until we get on the plane, anything can happen, but I do expect Lou to be with us,” Rivers said. “I would be very surprised if he’s not.” Williams stated a few weeks ago that he was '50-50' on his decision to join the Clippers in Orlando for the restart of the NBA season because he didn't want basketball to distract from the social justice movement that is currently sweeping across the world. However, Williams will use his platform along with other players participating in the NBA restart to advance the movement and continue the conversation while in Orlando. Williams attendance will be critical for the Clippers heading into the playoffs, as he is the third-leading scorer on the team and arguably the best bench player in the game today. DFS players will want to be cautious deploying Williams due to the Clippers deep backcourt rotation but in reality, Williams will be relied upon for his leadership and instant offense. On the season, Williams is averaging 18.7 points, 5.7 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.8 three's per contest over 60 games this year.
