Nikola Jokic has yet to return to the states after he was delayed as a result of him testing positive for the coronavirus while in Serbia. Despite the set-back coach Michael Malone communicated to reporters that “Nikola feels great. We are working on getting him back here. Next Tuesday, we depart for Orlando; the hope and expectation is that Nikola Jokic will be with us on that plane.” (Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Although this situation is far from ideal, the word coming out of Denver’s “camp” is that “[Jokic] feels great, he feels fine and is excited to get back.” During the break, he managed to transform his body, by shedding off 40 pounds of weight. We will not know how much this will impact his play; however, it should be safe to say that it will elevate every facet of his game to another level. Jokic seems poised to capitalize on an already spectacular season in which he is already averaging 20.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 1.2 steals, and .7 blocks per game. He is a must-start in every fantasy format.
