Victor Oladipo expected to join team in Orlando, still unsure if he’ll play

Pacers head coach Nate McMillan told reporters he fully expects G Victor Oladipo to join the team in Orlando, but he’s still unsure of his playing status. (Bob Kravitz on Twitter)

Oladipo and the team are likely to make a decision prior to departing for Orlando on July 9. He’ll work out with his teammates this week to see how his knee feels after ramping up the activity level. Oladipo did return from the knee injury originally in February this season, and was able to get in 13 games for the Pacers. In those 13 games, he averaged 13.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 0.8 steals in just 26 minutes per game. His career average sits at around 33 minutes per game, so clearly Indiana was taking it slowly with their all-star guard.
