Jayson Tatum decides to join team in Orlando for season restart

Jayson Tatum on his decision to go to Orlando with Celtics, “I don’t think I really made a decision until a few days ago,” citing the team’s desire to compete for a championship and the potential of the NBA to be a part of history in their continued support of the Black Lives Matter and social injustice movements as reasons for his choice to participate in the restart.

Fantasy Impact:

With a handful of NBA players opting to sit out of the restart, Tatum’s decision to join the team in Orlando is a huge victory for the championship hopeful Celtics, in elaborating on the intentions of the team he said, “we’re going down there and trying to win.” His winning mentality should bode well for this young Celtics team as Tatum will look to continue his dominating play once inside the “bubble.” This season he has reached career highs in every major statistical category, averaging 23.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.4 steals, and .9 blocks per game. With the Celtics failing to have any teammates test positive for COVID-19 or sit out, the team seems poised to make a deep run in the playoffs. With Tatum leading the way, it is no surprise that he is a must-start in every fantasy format.
