Fantasy Impact:

Once back with the team it would be safe to say that Johnson will look to carve out and maintain a more relevant role in the Nets' rotation, unlike the one he found himself in this year with the Suns. He only averaged 16.6 minutes of playing time per game, and in result suffered a substantial decrease in his production and efficiency. During his time with the Heat, he averaged 25.3 minutes of playing time, 10.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game, showing that he can produce at a higher level when afforded the opportunity. Should he successfully demonstrate that he can fill in some of the roster’s skill gaps, created by the absence of key personnel, he could become a viable, cost-effective option for production in your lineup. Based on Johnson’s past “body” of work and his tremendous opportunity with the Nets, he should at least be on your radar as a potential high-upside value-play for your squad.
