Lonnie Walker IV focuses on consistency as he prepares for the restart

Lonnie Walker IV is all about consistency as he looks to take the next step in his development, “I wouldn’t say there was something I wanted to improve on…I just want to be more consistent with my game.” (JeffGSpursZone on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Walker’s improvement is a must as the Spurs prepare to fight for a playoff berth. He has an opportunity to earn a bigger role coming off the bench, but unless he can show consistency, he runs the risk of falling out of the rotation, especially with so much on the line for the team. This year he is averaging 14.5 minutes of playing time, 5.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, .9 assists, and .5 steals per game. At this point, he can be safely left on waivers, as it is challenging to be sure how the rotation will work for the Spurs night-in and night-out. Should he, however, achieve more consistency and garner more trust from coach Popovich and teammates throughout the “seeding” games, he might be a good pick-up in deep-league play as the last piece to your fantasy lineup.
