Brandon Clarke puts up 21 and 7 off the bench
by Adam Koffler | Grizzlies Correspondent | Fri, Jul 31st 8:24pm EDT
Brandon Clarke scored 21 points (7-8 FG, 7-8 FT), with seven boards, two assists, one steal, and two blocks in 34 minutes off the bench in Friday’s overtime loss to the Trail Blazers.
Fantasy Impact:
Clarke saw more minutes than expected in this one as a result of Jonas Valanciunas getting into early foul trouble. Just his rookie season, Clarke has surprised some by his play, averaging 12 points (62.3% FG), 5.8 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks per game. He may not see 34 minutes per game going forward, but his efficiency and tenacity on both ends of the floor should give him ample opportunity in the Grizzlies rotation.
