Kristaps Porzingis erupts for season-high 39 points in loss to Rockets

Dallas center Kristaps Porzingis was sensational in the Mavs' first official NBA Restart game on Friday night, scoring a season-high 39 points (13-26 FG, 3-8 3pt, 10-11 FT) while hauling in 16 rebounds for a monstrous double-double. The Latvian center added two steals, two assists, one block, and two turnovers in a 153-149 overtime loss against the Rockets.

Fantasy Impact:

The 7'3" center took advantage of his significant height advantage all night long over the Rockets' undersized "small-ball" lineup, getting any shot he wanted all night long. Tonight marked Porzingis' 7th 30+ point scoring effort of the season. While tonight's matchup was very favorable for Porzingis in an offensive-minded scoring barrage against a team without a true center, the Mavs franchise big man looks primed to be an elite fantasy contributor the rest of the way.
