Donovan Mitchell disappoints, scores 13 in loss

by Dan Titus | Cavaliers Correspondent | Sat, Aug 1st 8:43pm EDT

Donovan Mitchell struggled from the field, scoring 13 points (5-15 FG, 0-4 3PT, 3-3 FT) while contributing four assists, one rebound, and four turnovers across 32 minutes in a 110-94 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday,

Fantasy Impact:

Surprisingly, Mitchell's 13 points led the Jazz in scoring in a game where the Jazz played catch-up for much of the contest. Mitchell wasn't able to find his groove against the feisty Thunder defense, failing to hit a three-pointer in this one. In his previous 10 games, Mitchell's put up averages of 24.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.1 steals, so he'll look to rebound from this poor outing against the Lakers on Monday night. DFS players should consider this game an outlier as Mitchell has been consistent and reliable for much of the season before the NBA's hiatus.
