Joel Embiid posts monster double-double in win over Washington

by Adam Koffler | 76ers Correspondent | Wed, Aug 5th 7:47pm EDT

Joel Embiid notched a 30-point double-double Wednesday (11-20 FG, 8-9 FT, 0-2 3PT) with 11 boards, three assists, three steals, two blocks, and three turnovers in 32 minutes in 107-98 win over the Wizards.

Fantasy Impact:

Embiid has been on an absolute tear in three games in Orlando, averaging 32.7 points and 13.7 rebounds per game. He's also contributing in other areas, averaging four assists, two steals, and 1.7 blocks per contest. Ben Simmons left today's game early with a knee injury and didn't return. If Simmons is out for an extended period of time, Embiid will take on even more of the responsibility on offense, if that's even humanly possible. The Sixers play again on Friday against the Magic in what should be a great matchup between Embiid and Nikola Vucevic.
