Paul George leads the Clips to thrilling victory

by Jon Mathisen | Clippers Correspondent | Sat, Aug 8th 4:31pm EDT

Paul George finished with 21 points (8-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with six rebounds, four assists, and two steals across 28 minutes as the Clippers took down the Blazers 122-117 on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

This was an excellent team-effort by the Clippers who were missing Kawhi Leonard (load management) and Montrezl Harrell (personal reasons). George only played 28 minutes but was still able to lead the team in scoring. Damian Lillard missed a pair free-throws and a big three-pointer at the end of the game to seal LA's victory. The Clippers strengthened their hold on the number two seed in the West and knocked the Blazers out of the eighth seed, for now. There's no rest for the weary as the Clippers take on the Nets on Sunday in their first back-to-back since the restart. Kawhi will likely be back for that one but PG13 is still a solid DFS play.
