Mike Conley reaches 20 points for third consecutive game

by Dan Titus | Timberwolves Correspondent | Sun, Aug 9th 5:21am EDT

Mike Conley netted 20 points (8-19 FG, 1-1 FT), going 8-for-19 from the field and added five rebounds, five assists, one steal, three triples, and five turnovers across 44 minutes in a 134-132 double-overtime loss to the Nuggets.

Fantasy Impact:

Conley is playing some of his best basketball offensively sans Bojan Bogdanovic, notching his third 20-point game in a row, and four out of his last five games in the bubble. Though his shot was off, he remained assertive and was one of only five Jazz players to hit double-figures, along with connecting with Rudy Gobert for several easy lobs at the rim. Conley's improved his scoring and passing in the bubble compared to the regular season, seeing his points rise to 19.8 points per game (14.5 pre-COVID) and assists grow to 5.6 assists per game (4.5 pre-COVID). He may not have a high ceiling in DFS, but he's shown some consistency in the bubble to warrant a roster spot in DFS on most nights.
