Carmelo Anthony provides crucial 26 points in win

by Dan Titus | Wed, Aug 12th 2:11am EDT

Carmelo Anthony scored 26 points (10-17 FG, 3-5 3PT, 3-4 FT) and added eight rebounds, two assists, two steals, and only one turnover across 35 minutes in a 134-131 win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Fantasy Impact:

Anthony's done a fantastic job filling in as the second scoring option to Damian Lillard over the past three games, dropping his third consecutive 20-point performance. The Blazers are currently the 8th seed in the West, and if they win on Thursday, they will have a great chance at making the playoffs. CJ McCollum announced that he is laboring through a fractured spine, leaving Anthony to be relied upon even more offensively against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday. Melo is definitely on the DFS radar as he's strung together three solid performances in his last three contests.
