Ja Morant shows out in play-in game, drops 35 and 8 in loss

Ja Morant dropped a team-high 35 points (13-28 FG, 3-6 3PT, 6-8 FT) along with eight assists, four rebounds, with eight turnovers across 42 minutes in a play-in game loss to the Trail Blazers on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

Morant was a force to be reckoned with in the play-in game, scoring in a multitude of ways to keep the Grizzlies in the game until late in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough as the Grizzlies came up short on getting the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Morant is an exceptional talent and showed why he'll likely be the consensus rookie of the year this season. Morant finished the Bubble averaging 19.1 points, 9.9 assists, and 6.4 rebounds in eight games played. Morant should be a top-10 point guard for season-long fantasy players next season.
