Kevin Durant to have season-ending surgery

by Dale Redman | Suns Correspondent | Fri, Mar 27th 3:17pm EDT

Thunder forward Kevin Durant will undergo season-ending bone graft surgery and will be out for the rest of the season. The expected timetable for recovery is four to six months. Durant is expected to be ready to resume basketball activities by training camp next fall. (NBA TV on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Tough blow for the Thunder and fantasy owners, but not an unexpected one. Since being shut down from basketball activities last week, many expected this announcement. It has been a tough injury plagued season for the former MVP, who managed to only play 27 games this season. If all goes well, Durant should be ready to go next season and return to being a top 10 draft choice for the 2015/16 season.
