James Harden drops team-high 27 points in loss to Lakers

by Dan Titus | Clippers Correspondent | Mon, Sep 7th 2:04am EDT

James Harden scored 27 points (6-12 FG,11-13 FT) and added seven rebounds, two steals, four triples, and five turnovers across 39 minutes in Sunday's 117-109 loss to the Lakers in Game 2 of the Western Conference semi-finals.

Fantasy Impact:

Harden only attempted 12 field-goals in Game 2, his lowest effort dating back to February 6, 2019. Harden seemed passive, but it was mostly due to the Lakers zone defense that repeatedly sent double-teams and forced the ball out of his hands. Harden was still effective, but he noticeably disappeared in the 4th quarter. He'll have to make adjustments heading into Game 3 because the Lakers are on a mission to disrupt his offense and make everyone besides Harden score. Now tied up at 1-1, look for Harden to come out aggressive on Tuesday.
