Russell Westbrook played 36 minutes and produced 10 points (4-13 FG, 0-3 3PT, 2-6 FT) and added six assists, four rebounds, two steals, and three turnovers in a 119-96 Game 5 loss to the Lakers to be eliminated from the NBA playoffs.
Westbrook has been inconsistent offensively throughout the series, and unfortunately, it carried into the elimination game on Saturday night. The Lakers' defense continued to challenge Westbrook, and he could not find his rhythm. Perhaps Westbrook's shooting woes are attributed to the quad injury that forced him to miss a few games in the first round, but he didn't look like himself all series. With Houston HC Mike D'Antoni on the hot seat, the Rockets may shake up their roster ahead of next season.
