Brown underwent surgery in late April to repair a ligament in his thumb. He has fully recovered from his injury and should play a key role off the bench with his new team. The 23-year-old will compete with Kyrie Irving, Spencer Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert for minutes in the Nets’ backcourt. His offensive production will likely take a hit going from a non-contender to a projected playoff team. Brown averaged 8.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.1 steals over 28 minutes last season.
