Mavericks F/C Kristaps Porzingis, who recently underwent successful knee surgery, will miss the start of the 2020-21 NBA regular season, according to president of basketball operations Donnie Nelson. (Tim MacMahon on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Porzingis will be cleared for on-court basketball activities on or around January 1, which means he’ll need some time to ramp up before hitting the court for in-game action. This was to be expected, but now just makes Luka Doncic that much more of an attractive option at the very top of fantasy drafts this upcoming season.
