Taj Gibson was waived by the New York Knicks, per Shams Charania on Twitter. The veteran big man was due $10.29 million and will now become a free agent. (Shams Charania on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The Knicks also waived Elfrid Payton and declined Bobby Portis' team option to free up cash ahead of free agency. Gibson is a still a decent role player in this league so he should latch elsewhere once free agency opens up.
