In his 2019-2020 season, Payton put together a solid body of work, saving his best play toward the tail end of the year. This season he played in 45 games and averaged 27.7 minutes of playing time, 10.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. Payton can score, rebound, assist, and steal. Given his versatility and ability to produce value in multiple ways, he should have no problem finding a new home as he explores his options in Free Agency.
