Warriors' star SG Klay Thompson (Achilles) underwent surgery on Wednesday to repair the Achilles tendon he tore a week ago. He is expected to make a full recovery, per Adrian Wojnarowski. (Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)
The perennial All-Star shooting guard missed the 2019-20 season with a torn ACL and was preparing for a big return until tearing his Achilles in an open practice run last week. This unfortunate setback will keep Thompson out of the entire 2020-21 season and will instead feature 2014-15 Rookie of the Year shooting guard Andrew Wiggins with super-star point guard Steph Curry in the Warriors' backcourt.
