Nicolas Batum Rumor: Clippers considered a 'strong contender' to sign
by Jon Mathisen | 76ers Correspondent | Sun, Nov 29th 3:09pm EST
Nicolas Batum was officially waived by the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday and the Clippers are considered to be "a strong contender" to sign him once he clears, per Marc Stein of the New York Times. (Marc Stein on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Batum was initially waived to create cap room for the Hornets to sign free agent Gordon Hayward and should officially clear waivers next week. The Clippers won't be the only team interested in the 31-year old wing but Los Angeles would be a good fit. He only averaged 3.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 22 games for the Hornets during the 2019-2020 but he could provide some fantasy value, especially on the defensive end, on his new team.
