Shams Charania of the Athletic is reporting that PG Kemba Walker’s availability for the 2020-21 season will be updated in first week of January after receiving a stem cell injection in his left knee. (Shams Charania on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Walker is expected to resume on-court activities in December and will be on a strengthening program for the 2020-21 season. He was still not a “100 percent” healthy, per Celtics’ HC Brad Stevens. “It’s going to take some time before he is up to full speed.” Walker dealt with knee issues most of last season. Kemba will rehab and look to start the 2020-21 campaign in January. Jeff Teague and Marcus Smart are expected to handle point guard duties for the Celtics while Walker is sidelined.
